According to reliable news sources, a fairly accurate English translation of the Iranian 14 point plan was put before Trump and he signed it.
And then Trump immediately acted as if he and the Iranians had agreed to what I called the US 14 point plan, the one where Iran agree that the Straight is 100% American and they have no right to it, and all Iranian oil and gas belong to BP, not one drop gets wasted on Iran, and not 1¢ from BP sales of that oil and gas goes to Iran.
I personally doubt that Trump read the 14 point plan that he signed, since he didn't really care what it said, he just wanted the Iranians to give the US military a few days to get ready to attack.
The New York Times say the US Navy are managing to get quite a few ships through the Strait by turning off all transponders and sailing through at night so the Iranians have no way to detect their passage and so cannot do anything about it, and this will continue, greatly easing the energy crisis most of the world are facing. It is not clear to what extent this is true. We don't know if any ships made it past the Iranians or if dozens a night are making it through (in both directions) and things are now close to pre-war levels.
The US are a net exporter of oil, but US refineries are set up for one kind of refining, and the US oil exported is a kind not well suited for US refineries, so the US refineries mostly refine imported oil, and the US need Gulf and Venezuelan oil to refine. Venezuelan oil is no longer a problem, since the US have full control over the Venezuelan government. The US also have full control over the Gulf Arab State governments, but it's not clear how much oil the US are really able to sneak out past the Iranians. The US mainstream media say, 'More than enough!' but it's not clear if we can believe them.
Those who watched the funeral of the Ayatollah and his family saw many waving red flags, which Iran and Russia report are Revenge Flags. If Iran control the Strait, which they say they do and the US say they no longer do, they can force 'The World' into a Global Depression for lack of energy.
Of course, 'The World' does not include Russia or the PRC, both of which have access to energy, fertilizer, and helium without the Strait (plus, the PRC have had more ships transiting the Strait than any other nation).
The US/UK/EU mainstream media reiterate that the US/UK/EU are winning the Strait and the Ukraine, but, while they can write that the US/UK/EU are winning, they don't have a lot of hard proof.
So I guess we'll have to wait and see what happens next.
