A New and Greatly Improved Yalta

In 1945, Roosevelt, Churchill, and Stalin met in Yalta. This much is one of those historical facts on which everyone agrees.

The New York Times version is that  Yalta was a city in the Ukraine, which was a state that had fought valiantly with the Americans against the Germans and was independent of Russia, and so was a good place for the US, UK, and Russia to meet to discuss what would happen after the war, which the US of A had won pretty much single-handedly, and was also about to demonstrate that it was the first and only nuclear power.

Roosevelt, for reasons that, to this day escape us all, gave Stalin half of Europe, when he should only have let Stalin keep Russia, and probably not all of Russia, since large parts should have been allowed to become independent states, given how little Russia had contributed to victory in WWII.

And now Trump wants to replicate FDR's mistake in spades, giving Russia huge parts of the Ukraine, all of which must be in NATO, and the host to the largest NATO military base and a massive battery of anti-missiles that can stop any Russian attempt to nuke NATO, forcing Russia to accept all NATO terms of surrender.

St Biden was making great progress, but the return of the incompetent Trump makes it look like Russia, in the midst of total defeat, will be handed another undeserved victory.

Of course, not everyone agrees with this New York Times version of history and current events, but the New York Times is the #1 American Newspaper, and so their version is the one that most of the world is expected to accept, and I'm pretty sure most Western European leaders accept it, even if almost all of the ignorant Western European rabble are inclined to think that their leaders have IQs in the single digits.

Where are we now in Persia?????

In 1900, the UK found oil in Persia and Finders-Keepers, so the UK took all the oil, kept some for use in the UK, and sold the rest, with the proceeds going to the UK treasury. Then, in 1951, Mosaddegh said all that oil belonged to Iran.

So, in 1953, MI6 and the CIA went to Iran and acted as portrayed in Fleming's James Bond novels: MI6 did the best spying, but the UK was broke, and they lacked funds for purchasing the essentials of spywork, so the CIA provided all the cash MI6 agents needed (cf Casino Royale, where Bond is the World's Greatest Spy, but runs out of money since the UK was broke after WWII, and the CIA provided Bond with all the money he needed to accomplish his mission). In any case, the CIA and MI6 bought some Iranians who gaoled Mosaddegh, made the Shah head of state, and made all Iranian oil the property of BP, 50% owned by the US and 50% owned by the UK.

But that was 1953.

In 2025, the CIA went into Iran with Mossad, and they said, 'No need to buy any Iranians, we'll kill all the leaders and take over the country, it'll be a lot like Venezuela,' and the CIA agents listened, helped kill all the Iranian leadership (and a lot of schoolkids), and figured it would be like Venezuela, where the US snatched the President, put in a pro-American government, and took all the oil.

Sadly, every top member of the Iranian government and military has a named successor, and those named successors took over the Iranian government and military after the previous leaders were killed, and then they closed the Strait of Hormuz and destroyed all US military bases in countries around the Gulf with Two Names (the Arabs living around the Gulf call it the Arab Gulf, and the Persians living around the Gulf call it the Persian Gulf). The US have officially accepted the name, 'Arab Gulf'. The Persians and their allies insist that the Gulf be called the Persian Gulf (even though the Iranians no longer refer to themselves as Persians).

The US figured they could kill the top leadership and capture lower-level leaders and force them to order Iran to accept their news status as a US colony. Sadly, the Iranians did not accept that very generous US proposal, and are still fighting, for reasons no one can explain.

But the net result is that very little Arab Gulf oil is making it out of the Arab Gulf, and the world is now very short of oil, fertilizer, diesel, helium, etc., etc. and this is having a major impact on consumers.

The US Military is the Strongest in the World

The US military hires propagandists to spread the obvious fact that the US military is the strongest in the world, and can defeat any opponent. The US easily defeated the PRC and North Korea in the '50s, Vietnam in the '60s, Afghanistan in the '90s and 2000s, and has now almost totally destroyed Iran, opening the Straits of Hormuz and the Bab al-Mandeb so all are free to transit and the world is now flush with oil, and prices have fallen from the highs, when people thought that Iran and Ansarullah would be able to block the two Straits, to record lows of a few ¢ per liter now that both Straits are wide open, thanks to the US military.

If oil, gas, diesel, and fertilizer are still selling at record highs in your country, it must be because your government is charging outrageous taxes to provide US$$$ to corrupt government officials, since US officials and presidents cannot lie, have never lied, and never will lie.

At least that's the official US declaration.

Sadly, most of the world is seeing record high prices for oil, gas, diesel, fertiliser, & etc., but Americans will not be seeing those prices much longer: Trump has gotten Russia to sell the US 9 days of diesel consumption (that's the most optimistic estimate, it might be only 4 days, or half a day according to the pessimists), so the rapid drop in diesel from $10 to 10¢ a gallon might not be coming quite as quickly as Trump kind-of, sort-of promised.
